FC Twente

From 2011 to mid-2019, I worked as a volunteer for FC Twente. And that was the beginning of a bright future in the football world. For me, it actually started in 1972 when football was spoon-fed to me. The co-organization of the International U14 Golden Talent Tournament in 2012 and 2013 led to me being approached by the Head of Youth Training at FC Twente in 2013 to become a team manager at the FC Twente football academy. From 2013 to mid-2019, I fulfilled this role as a team manager at FC Twente U11 and U13, working with trainer Luc Stolker (since 2020 youth trainer at Ajax).

During those years in which I let FC Twente's youth live like a professional as team manager and also acted as a confidante, the contact with many parents and players has remained. This was also the reason why at the end of 2018, I was approached by an FC Twente U17 player to represent his interests (agent). In June 2019, I left FC Twente and started my Sportsmanagement agency as a 'Registered KNVB Intermediary (agent). With great drive, as a connector and networker, I had already founded my own company, Meforyo Sportsmanagement, on July 12, 2018. The purpose was actually to be 'the connector' for professional football clubs and international tournament organizations.

Through my passion for football over all these years, I have built a large (international) network. Many requests from the football world to participate in international top tournaments, both domestically and abroad, are granted. Players and coaches, football clubs and associations also know where to find me for collaboration. Whether it's for representing players, female players and coaches or for trials at a professional club, or off-season training programs that are in high demand.

The question from Lars (Founder of Plus31Sports) if football players from my network would be interested in a Scholarship in America quickly resulted in an interesting case. Expert advice, accurate and timely communication, and personal involvement from Lars gave 'the student' and his family and me a lot of confidence. Due to the Covid-19 period, this did not lead to a concrete trajectory, but it was a positive experience for me and a reason to stay in touch with Lars. In the spring of 2023, we looked again at where opportunities lie and decided to breathe new life into the collaboration. As a partner, I am very proud of this beautiful collaboration.
